A circular structure dominates the centre, loosely symbolising a plate, table or arena without settling into any one of them. Inside and around it, teal, orange, pink, green and metallic tones are scraped, layered and interrupted by dense passages of marble dust and oil. Order and mess occupy the same surface.
The painting developed alongside A Recipe for Disaster, using the language of food, appetite and consumption as its starting point. The impact of the work is to provide a visually intreguing and beautiful sumptuous work in one moment, and a rather ugly or excessive creation in another.
