A compact, brightly coloured painting in pink, violet, green and orange. Plant-like forms, a dark diagonal shape, circles, buds and looping lines overlap one another, but their identities remain unstable: one thing can readily become another. The deliberately cheerful palette sits alongside a more complicated collection of visual signals. 

It is a painting built from distraction, ambiguity and the ease with which appearances can be accepted at first glance, and the willingness to give in to excess.
