This painting grew from a moment when language simply stopped settling into usable form. Rather than illustrate that experience, the painting works through it physically. Creating a powerful experience without words.

A dense central concentration of orange, black, white and violet breaks outward into softer turquoise, green and pink. Brushmarks, scraped lines and abrupt changes of direction keep the surface active.
