A band of intense red and orange cuts across the lower half of the painting beneath a deep blue field, with cooler passages winding through the heat. 

The distressed frame is deliberately part of the work rather than simply its surround, carrying its own marks and deterioration. 

The title, Ad Vos — “to you” — leaves the final reading open. Human intervention and natural decay occupy the same object. One of the earlier works created whilst considering the impact of humankind on Earth.
